Q. What should I consider when choosing my tattoo?
Your tattoo should reflect who you are today and who you will be 10, 20, 30 years from now. A picture of your high school mascot – probably not. "I love Mom" is usually safe although not real creative. Think about what you want and why. Don't be limited by the tattoo samples a studio has. Remember, Verno's Custom Tattoos is a custom shop. Everything is hand drawn and nothing starts until we have your approval.

Q. What should I expect to cover in the consultation?
During your consultation, we get to know you. You become the inspiration behind your own tattoo. We will talk about size, location and color options. (See, size does matter.) We will walk you through the process and give you the information you need so you know what to expect and feel comfortable. Surprises are good, but not when you're getting a tattoo!

Q. What should I consider when choosing an artist?
Never price shop when choosing an artist. Tattoo prices are based on quality and talent. Shop the experience, the cleanliness and health standards and pick a place your gut tells you is good. You can trust Verno's Custom Tattoos not to jerk you around on the price and if you have any doubts about the quality, check out the gallery. Check out other places too; go ahead, you'll be back. Don't just look at the picture, but the line quality, smoothness and blends of color. You can't wash off a bad tattoo, so get it right the first time.

Q. What does "Verno" mean?
Glad you asked, it means "in bloom" in Latin. Now, how Andy got that nickname? That's something you'll have to ask him when you come in for your tattoo.
